This paper presents the results of a pretest of a questionnaire concerning death, dying, & related variables. The form used consisted of demographic items & 75-likert-type attitude items. The sample population consisted of 280 college students & 427 residents of metropolitan L.A. Factor analysis of data indicatied one constellation of attitudes “pro-secular” and one “pro-sacred’, each of which contained variables correlating positively within one group & negatively within the other group. 6 ref.
