In German: the frequency of suicidal intoxication by means of certain hypnotic drugs within a given period is clearly dependent on the accessibility of the drug in question. Hypnotic drugs available without prescription are used in suicidal attempts, chiefly by juvenile patients, in Berlin. A detailed report is presented on 15 cases.
