Death Education for Children: A Classroom Guide for Elementary Teachers

The Suicide Prevention Center, Inc., of Dayton Ohio, developed this classroom guide for teachers of elementary school children. The emphasis of this program is to help children better understand that death is final. It is hoped that this understanding will lead them away from self-destructive acts where they feel they can die & return to life. The program also teaches that grief is natural & acceptable, & that there are people they can turn to in times of need.
