Dr. Thigpen states that the victims of crimes are often neglected & left in a worse position after the criminal case has been completed than before the crime occurred. He presents services possible in a general victim advocate service, a new program area for crisis intervention services. The Alachua County Crisis Center victim advocate program is described. Problem areas of volunteer resistance, unrealistic expectations, victim-offender relationship, & territoriality are briefly mentioned. (NBB)
