The authors studied all cases of adolescent suicide that occurred in King County, Washington, for a 26-year period, 1958-1984. Epidemiologic & demographic findings were compared with those of a non-teen group of suicides (N=158) occurring in 1984. Significant findings are discussed. The study failed to show a statistically significant change in rates of adolescent suicide for the 26-year period.
