An AAS survey of survivor groups yielded the following information: half were organized by survivors of a suicide, half by those with a professional interest; community affiliation was reported in 80%; groups vary widely in structure; mental health professionals were involved in 34 of the 41 groups. Responses indicated these groups wanted guidelines, directories, a library including AV material, & participation in workshops from the AAS.
