A study of 189 (134 males, 54 females) undergraduate students attending Waterloo University revealed a high percentage (47%) of suicidal ideations, a stronger relation between depression & ideation than between hopelessness & depression, higher scores for females on the anger/ideation relationship, and an attempted suicide rate of 31%. Findings were based on responses to the BDIS, NAS, BHS, and to the Student Suicide Ideation Survey developed by the authors.
