A comparison study investigating the impact of life events was conducted with a 29-member attempted suicide group, & a 24-member psychiatric outpatient group who had committed suicide. 90% of the attempters scored between 150-300 (intermediate & high risk for morbidity). 45% of completed suicides scored over 300. Women withstood greater amounts life stress before yielding to suicide.
