The authors analyzed the demographic & social variables from the charts of all patients admitted to an Indian medical facility during 1972 who attempted suicide by poisoning. Results are provided in table from & include: type of poison, age & sex, urban or rural residence, income education, occupation, religion, marital status & family structure. 30 ref. (NBB)
