This study investigates the hypothesis that there is a relationship between occupation & suicide & further, that the highest rate of female suicide would be in the non-traditional capacity, within the age group 15-25 or 56+; who were married & non-white. Information was obtained from coded occupation information in suicide data. Results indicated there is a relationship between occupation & suicide, but the risk is higher for those in moderately traditional occupations.
