This paper reports findings from a pilot study of young persons aged 15-21 who committed suicide compared with survivingpeers who were close friends of the victims. The objectives of the study were (1) to evaluate the “psychological instruments & (2) to evaluate the feasibility of investigating a comparison group of living peers as previously described. Six case histories are presented that illustrate the value of this research method. 21 ref. (HBB)
