An employee of Broughton Hospital received compensation for injuries resulting from a suicide attempt. A North Carolina Appeal’s Court reaffirmed a lower court judgement that her attempt was caused by “mental depression & derangement” directly related to a comensable injury suffered in the performance of her duties of employment.
