Triolo S J~~et al
Data from 46 adolescent suicide attempters & their mothers & 46 controls were analyzed to identify sex & age differences in adolescent suicidal behavior. Variables descriptive of intra-familial attachments were more predictive of younger adolesent suicidal behavior whereas variables descriptive of attachments outside the family were more predictive of older adolescent behavior. Variables descriptive of the mother-child relationship were found to be more predictive of female suicidal behavior.
