This is the case history of a 26-year-old male who attempted suicide by the ingestion of toxaphene, an insecticide. Medical treatment & procedures are described. The patient suffered a shoulder fracture as the result of multiple seizures & amnesia for a period of time 3 weeks prior to the attempt. (NBB)
