This is a summary of a study conducted to validate the Poldinger inventory, which involved 165 psychotic patients who were examined by the PI on admission & followed-up 5 years later. 14 patients (8.48%) died by suicide & 17 (10.3%) attempted suicide. Statistical evaluation of data indicated that the Poldinger inventory had predictive value in this group of patients. (NBB)
