The author recorded EKG activity in 39 hospitalized anxious-depressive neurotics, 21 hospitalized suicidal patient & 32 normal controls after a 15-minute rest in a supine position & in a standing position. ANOVA showed significant differences between the group of neurotics & the other 2 groups in the ortho- & clinostatic changes of patient amplitude. A significant difference was found between suicidal patients & controls in resting heart frequency.
