A community of college-age persons based on intensive group therapy attendance is described, in which suicidal behavior is discouraged on several levels. The conditions precedent to suicidal rumination are topics of therapeutic investigation, while the demoralization & desperation of the imminent suicide are deterred by the community value systems, & the pervasiveness of the community in the lives of its members.
