In this study, the age & circumstances surrounding suicidal deaths in Douglas County, Omaha, Nebraska, in 1973-74 were studied & then compared with those during 1958-59. While there was no significant change in the number of suicides (61 vs58), an increase in suicides among those 20-29 was observed as was a concomitant decrease in the number of middle-aged &older suicides. The author suggests, the social turmoil on the 20-29 year group who experienced their adolescence duringthe 1960’s. (NBB)
