A comprehensive study undertaken to determine whether or not it is possible to reconstruct the positioning of a weapon used to cause death by gunshot wound. Because the undisturbed conditions of suicide victims that may help in securing unambiguous & more accurate results, investigation was carried out in suicide deaths only (n=13). Basic experimental tests used are outlined. (NBB)
