A presentation by the Forensic Services Team, Alaska Psychiatric Institution, to the 17th Annual Meeting of the AAS. Results of their study of all suicidal cases referred to the Team during the period July 1/83-Apr.1/84 are examined & a training program for corrections workers is presented. Two unexpected findings were a very low rate of inmates with affective disorders, & a high rate (65% of a sample of 175) of subjects who had committed sex offenses.(NBB)
