This study of 145 families attempts to determine if family size is a factor of parent suicide risk. Families were chosen from cases provided by crisis emergency & police departments. A parent in each family had attempted suicide. Data was gathered by interview, a sibling separation index & a family density index. Family size & density were realted to parent suicide potential, an increased number of children was a protective factor for females.(NBB)
