This ecologiocal study of suicide presents statistical data gathered from different geographic areas of Venezuela. Rates of suicide are compared using variables of age, sex, location & method. The pattern of suicide has shown an increase from a low of 3.7 in 1936 to a high of 6.9 in 1966. The rate decreased to 4.5 in 1976.(NBB)
