Interdisciplinary Care in Adolescent Bereavement (IN: Death and Grief in the Family: The Family Therapy Collections)
Conley B
A funeral director & frequent participant in group discussions about death & grief believes an interdisciplinary approach, involving communication among all individuals whose occupational roles bring them in contact with adolescents during the bereavement process, would do much to prevent misconceptions that may lead to emotional difficulties. He encourages caregivers to include adolescents in funeral-rites & ceremonies, to permit the leave-taking & acceptance of loss important to grieving. (NB)
