Medicolegal: Patient’s Suicide Bid: Hospital not Liable

This brief article relates the case history of a hospital patient who, believing he had cancer, attempted suicide by jumping from a third floor hospital window. He survived, but as a tetraplegic, & sued the hospital for negligence in failing to detect the depression that precipitated his attempt.(NBB)
