This article advances the theory that suicide involves 2 basic elements:(1) the culmination of experiences & ideation over a length of time & (2) an unanswered cry for help. The presence of these two elements results in the decisions to leave society & life behind. Suicide is also discussed in relation to frustration & depression. Some popular myths about suicide are discussed, along with corresponding factual information. (NBB)
