Reports mean scores on Rotter’s Internal-External Control Scale & the most recently reported suicide rates for 10 countries: New Zealand, Israel, U.S., Italy, Canada, Australia, W. Germany, France, Japan & Sweden. Results indicate that cultures that foster high perceptions of external control also foster high suicide rates.
