Suicide: the Patient’s Viewpoint

This brief article was written by a schizophrenic patient who attempted suicide by drug overdose. The actions & apparent attitudes of student nurses at the general hospital where the author was treated, as well as the author’s feelings are described. In light of her experiences, the author recommends that all general nursing students receive 3 months psychiatric training.
