White H C
The present study is an account of several cases, during the twelve months from October 1964 to September 1965. During this period 223 such patients were seen by the author for psychiatric assessment following referral by the physicians under whose care they were admitted. Of those interviewed most were seen within 36 hours of admission, any greater delay being due to the severity of the patients physical disorder.
