Presents an impressionistic account of efforts to help a suicidal woman who had been hospitalized repeatedly. The woman was highly intelligent but could not cope with life and was turned back to the community through “the revolving door” after each attempted suicide, which was always accompanied by violent rage & hostility. A rehabilitative course for schizophrenics seemed to help for a while, but the suicide attempts resumed.
