Reports that 90 of 350 psychiatric inpatients were admitted because of suicide attempts & 260 for other psychiatric reasons. Though the admission rate was high for 25-44 year old nonsuicide patients, more of those attempting suicide were younger than those admitted for other reasons. Reasons for & methods of the suicide attempts are listed.
