The author presents the case history of a middle-aged male who began to experience emotional difficulties following a work-related accident that prevented previously well-adjusted man became an alcoholic, exhibited violent & aggressive behavior, & made several suicide attempts. The rehabilitation process following his last attempt was effective, however. The author examines this patient’s case in terms of Stengel’s theory of the factors involved in suicide. 2 Ref.
