Intervention and Postvention in Schools (IN: Suicide in the Young, ed. by H S Sudak et al)

Services provided by a suicide prevention centre to adolescents in the school setting are reviewed & examples of such programs are given. These programs are evaluated as to their effectiveness in prevention of suicide & in postvention. The author concludes that such educational programs are beneficial, & stresses the need for staff providing the programs to be knowledgeable in the areas of crisis intervention & group work.(NBB)
