Toward the Prediction of Violent Deaths Among the Young (IN: Suicide in the Young, ed. by H S Sudak et al)

The authors examine the relationship between suicide, homicide, motor vehicle accident & nonmotor vehicle accident mortality rates, & population changes among adolescents & young adults (15-24-year olds). Significant positive correlations are found between young adult suicide, homicide & nonmotor vehicle accident mortality rates & the changes in the proportion of 15-24-year olds in the American population between 1933 & 1976.
