The author discusses the treatment of chronic withdrawal and isolation syndrome providing unique answers to therapy needed to make isolated individuals more socially competent. Therapy at the Centre de Social Recherche et Rencontres in Toulouse, France is described. Individual case histories are included. A qualitative study of social and psychological anorexia.
