This paper describes the case history of a severely depressed female patient with no internal or external motivators other than her singing. Thus an attempt was made for treatment through music therapy. Psychiatric literature relating to the field is discussed, as well as the development and implementation of the music therapy process for this individual patient. (8 ref.)
