This study found that out of 1290 university students, 19.4 percent had been users of 1 or both campus formal mental health services for students, 13.2 percent had used the university counseling service, & 9 percent sought the help provided by the student health service psychiatric clinic (PC). PC users reported feelings of depression & anxiety, thoughts of suicide, & fear of nervous breakdown. It was also found that users of services did not acknowledge seeking help more than did nonusers.
