Presents an overview of the requirements necessary for starting and maintaining a counselling group for suicidal individuals. Topics discussed are selection of the therapist, therapeutic style, selection of clients, group limits, primary topics for group discussion, aspects of potential difficulty, and length of treatment. It is suggested that group treatment offers many practical advantages as professionsals are faced with increasing rates of suicide attempts and completions among clients.
