This is the final report of a 3-year study on the effectiveness of provisions of the Criminal Law Amendment Act (1977) which amended the criminal code sections relating to firearms control in Canada. The Report concludes that the relative use of firearms for suicides decreased after the enactment of the legislation. Contains graphs and tables covering the period 1971-1980. (DD)
