The data in this report was collected by the State of Hawaii Department of Health from 1908-1972. Since 1920, suicide has been one of the top twelve causes of death in Hawaii. This report examines sex, age, ethnicity, marital status, cause of death, geographic variation, occupation, and seasonal variation (1968-1972).
