The aim of this study was to reveal the relationship between suicidal ideas, threats or attempts and age, sex, diagnostic category or some specific psychopathological symptoms. i.e. excitement, hallucinations or delusions, in the English-speaking community of the Province of Quebec. The samples chosen consisted of patients newly admitted to Douglas Hospital, twenty years ago and today.
