In this report Swedish workers report pressure and stress on the job, suggesting a bad fit between person and work environment. Alcoholism, suicide, and mental disorders are common. Six principles are proposed to meet worker’s psychological requirements, plus a holistic view of the individual and environment, an ecological relating of the entire individual and the system, a cybernetic evaluation of effects, with attention to feedback, and a democratic decision method, help to satisfy needs.
