Used the psychological autopsy technique to evaluate the incidence of stress-related dermatoses in 64 completed suicides. The 6 suicide victims who suffered from dermatoses associated with anxious, depressive symptomatology are described. All 6 subjects had seen a physician within 6 wk. of committing suicide; 4 had seen a physician within 14 days of death. Results suggest that the treatment of stress-related dermatoses should include psychological treatment. (27 ref)
