Examined the relationship between the incidence of suicide & homicide by correlations over time, locale, & status categories. The resulting correlations differed greatly. Correlation coefficients were computed for different sex-by-race subgroups of the population, & the magnitude & direction of the associations were found to vary greatly for the different subgroups. It is suggested that a more fruitful approach would be a sociopsychological study of the individuals concerned.
