Summarizes some of the epidemiological aspects of adolescent suicide, & describes a study in which 170 college students completed a questionnarie regarding high school behavior. Factors found to correlate with suicidal activity inlcude accident proneness, mood changes, feelings of confusion, loneliness, not being able to talk to parents, lack of friends, lack of self-esteem, & impulsiveness. Results indicate that it is important for teens to have someone to talk to. (RM)
