Report on a Swedish study of 1727 children & adolescents under 21 years, who had attenpted suicide between 1955-59. 42 cases who were under 14 are explored more thoroughly. In the younger ages a more even sex distribution prevails, while in the older ages, girls are more prone. Love problems followed by home & parental problems are the primary causes. Contrary to other findings, passive methods predominate among the younger clientele who attempt suicide.
