Examines whether members of helping agencies in Ireland know and can identify persons at risk for suicide. A 16 item questionnaire regarding knowledge about suicide was given to 192 subjects from various professions. Results revealed that medical students, psychologists, volunteers, & general practitioners made few errors, while social workers, students, & the general public & clergy made more errors. (17 refs.)
