This brief article presents some facts about attempted & completed suicide in the city of Boston over the period 1959 to 1966. Some findings were: males complete suicide more often while females attempt more often; most attempts & completions occur in November & September; the highest rate of suicide attempts in females occurred in age groups 20-29, 30-39, & teens & under. The highest rate for males was at 70 & over. Questions about the accuracy of suicide figures are briefly addressed.
