Presents selected research findings about suicidal behavior in young persons including data about rates, ideation, communication of intent, factors that may be associated with suicidal behavior, & risk indicators. Risk is said to increase with age, with repetition of attempts, & with psychiatric illness requiring hospitalization in adolescence.
