Describes treatment approaches for a number of problems encountered in adolescence. Suicide should be dealt with by being aware of risk indicators including previous attempts, recent psychiatric hospitalization, the recent death of a relative or friend, a family history of suicide, signs of anxiety or tension, word or actions suggesting intent, depression with guilt & self-depreciation, abuse of alcohol/drugs, & delusions of harming others.
