Mower’s Discomfort-Relief Quotient (DRQ) is examined by comparing 2 sets of written documents: actual suicide notes, & fabricated suicide notes. The purposes of thie study are to measure the usefulness of the DRQ concept for these materials, & if the DRQ is useful – obtain additional information about suicide states. 33 notes were examined & it was found the DRQ is of limited value for studying suicide by means of suicide notes.
